chosing a router - whats the best one ? ( dumb qsustion)

well iv had this old di link 502 ? router for some time now and im not srue if its on its way out or not but it dos disconcet at times under a hevey load im just wondering what brand and spec should i look for to replace it ? currently on a bigpond cable plan with one of those USB modems running of an ethernet port

Router brand is just personal preference....I use and prefer the Linksys brand, just for the simple user interface and ease of installation...very user friendly. If you think your router is about to go down on you...a new wireless N is the way to go...and relatively inexpensive. You can pick one up at almost any retail store for around $50 to $70.

ah cheers mate , will have to look in to that oh and yea i would like to get one with a rather simple but um not srue if feature rich is the right word ? as the layout on this delink sucks - easy enough to navgate but half the time nobody understands the interface due to how old it is
