Running gmail in Google Chrome 3.0.195.33 on 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, when attaching a file to your email, you search for that file in the Windows file/open dialog, fail to find it, then widen the search by clicking on "Search Again in:" Computer, Chrome will crash 100% of the time. The entire browser goes down, not just the current tab. IE8 8.00.7600.16385 does not crash, nor does FireFox 3.5.5.
Replication scenario:
(1) Run Chrome 3.0.195.33 on Win7 Home Edition Premium 64-bit
(2) Compose email in gmail
(3) Click "Attach file" link
(4) Click "Choose file" button
(5) In Windows file/open dialog, type non-existent filename in upper right search box
(6) After file isn't found, under "Search again in:", click the "Computer" icon
(7) The search may (a) never comes back, or (b) find nothing
(8) In either case upon closing the dialog box, Chrome will crash.
Additional config details:
Aero features enabled, Windows search indexing enabled for most of C: and E: drives.
