chrome tab circle

when i open a new tab in chrome, the load circle (i dont know what to call it), is sometimes moving in clockwise direction and sometimes in anti clock wise direction, i want to know whats the difference between both

Have a look at this: The Spinning Glow Worm | I Love Google Chrome Basically, when it spins anti-clockwise data is being sent from your computer and when it spins clockwise data is being received by your computer. The speed at which it spins is indicative of the transfer rate.

I've never used Chrome myself. I just put chrome tab circle into Google and came up with what I put above. It would be useful to have a Chrome user confirm this, though.

Mmm. I'll keep an eye on it but normally tabs load too quickly to tell.

yes it seems to spin backwards very briefly when making a page request, then spins forward as the page downloads.

never really noticed it before.
