Chromium

The name "Chromium" appears on my PC's Program and Features list. And I have tried to delete it, but without any success. It seems to be a hidden file.
Doing a bit of snooping I found that it has, in reality this name:


"ChromiumHTM.4R3CJ23DVPMQZNBHOERXNLIJV4"

Does anybody know how I can get rid if it?

The probability is that it is malware posing as the chromium browser. Have you run any software to scan for and remove malware yet? Such as ADWCleaner or Malwarebytes.

Please follow the instructions given here and in your previous thread that this duplicated.

You appear to have malware loaded when downloading some non microsoft software, you need to do this before it gets worse and maybe deletes your data

I have tried using ADWCleaner and Malwarebytes, and now I have gone to using Sardu which seems to do a better
job at keeping this maulware at bay! But this maulware is still there and I would like to remove it completely!

Chromium is a "virus" using the Chromium open source project (as used by Microsoft, and Google for browser)

removal may be as simple as just using the standard uninstall procedures in Windows, however, it has grown a long way with a lot of modified strains now known Feb 2020 Chromium virus has total of 14 variants listed

It may be worthwhile, if you have no success, trying to get assistance with specialists such as BleepingComputer.com - News, Reviews, and Technical Support who will be able to develop a specific removal routine for your infection, just create an account there and post following their instructions as to what to include

I am sorry, but I am not able to sign-in. It refuses to make any changes that I want to make.
It keeps getting data for me from 'twitter' which is not correct!

You have a serious malware issue, please contact Bleeping Computer from a clean system, sign up, (free), and explain the exact problems to the specialists there,

you could completely wipe your system, reinstall everything, and maybe get back to a working system or it may even be beyond this without proper specialist help
