first off, terribly sorry it took me so long to get here, been offline as sig details and forgot there was more than just windows 7 here :p

(---spoiler alert for anybody who hasn't yet watched the final episode of Chuck---)

anyway... the 'lengthy' version of my opinion on the finale is here, but since posting that and constantly complaining to another friend who also watches Chuck about how I thought the finale... kinda sucked, I came up with this alternate scenario for the ending. Yes, it cuts out the "will they/won't they" suspense, or rather in the case of Chuck, "did she remember/didn't she remember?", but here goes:

So, Chuck leans in towards Sarah and they kiss on the beach. Then, a teeny sliver of the intersect left over in Sarah's brain (hey, it doesn't have to be realistic, I mean, the intersect was hardly scientifically accurate :p) triggers a flash. BUT, this isn't any old information flash or a martial arts style flash, it's a whole new kind of flash. Instead of an orange/green tinted flash background, it's red; a dark, romantic, crimson red. The flash is filled with images/memories of Chuck and Sarah's past right from the moment they met up until she got the intersect (perhaps intersperse some of the action style intersect bits, but not sure what. No, nothing dirty :p). It then cuts to black and then the credits start rolling, in SILENCE to start with, no music yet to ruin the moment. So the last thing we ever saw in Chuck other than the credits was the intersect. No cut back to Chuck and Sarah on the beach, as that would ruin the moment, but at least it wouldn't ruin the show like the real ending did :/

As see, that above plot idea is the ONE time in TV that a 'situational memory flashback' like that could actually plausibly work, given the 'existance' of the intersect! The perfect chance to end it leaving the fans feeling good about the show. I read that analysts had said that
unlike The Big Bang Theory, Chuck is a TV show where "the geek actually gets the girl"
soooo... the main selling point of the show is then torn to shreds and thrown out the window just before the end? Personally, I hate the TV shows that leave TOO much to the audience's imagination, as you'll never have even the slightest bit of stone cold fact concerning the matter, not a single hint of the direction it went :(

Also:
- 13" Apple MacBook Air, 2013, i7 @ 1.7GHz, 8GB DDR3, 256GB SSD
- HP Deskjet 3050A
- Two HP ZV5000 laptops (the better of the two recently broke)
- A Compaq Evo D310 (has 2GB RAM and a 2.53GHz P4 but is curiously extremely slow)
- A desk fan - this weather is warm ;)
- A fair few retro consoles
- Too many cables behind the desk, probably a fire hazard.

+1

That would have beat the real ending by a mile!
