Hello,

I have this old webcam (Twinkle Cam Viewmaster) which has a strange driver incompatibility issues with windows 7 32-bit

Currently i have got it to work through windows 7 32-bit, however the video has all
these bright colours + purple-pink colour.
The first process i did was running the setup.exe from the webcam viewmaster original cd, in compatibility mode with windows xp (service pack 2 or 3) & run as administrator. Once it is up to the installing part, towards the end of installation at 100% displays message box saying:
CleanDevice has stopped working:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: CleanDev.exe
Application Version: 1.1.0.0
Application Timestamp: 3dd2051a
Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll
Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385
Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5bdadb
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00051f70
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 3081

Additional Information 3: 97a0
Additional Information 4: 97a0b0a288aa4bc0421b77a94da0a5ab

Then the installation finishes,
A message displays asking me where do i live so it can set a specific frequency (50hz or 60)
I then go to device manager and update the CIF USB Camera (2110A) - this will find the drivers and installs them, (because i think the clean device has something to do with this automatic stage)
Then displays the message asking for the specific frequency again

The "CIF USB Camera (2110A)" displays as a normally working device.

Launched windows live messenger to preview the webcam and i receive these strange colours purple colours which are pix-elated on almost every preview. Sometimes randomly it improves the image quality when i click next and back a few times :S

I know this camera works fine in windows XP - no errors
This is the webcam website i think, a bit dodgy - unable to download the drivers

I think the issue also could be related to the hardware of the camera, cause i tried it on a different pc using XP and has the strange colours :( perhaps the camera is just old and slightly damaged

Any advice will be appreciated

They don't see to work for me, goes to this link:
ftp://driver.chicony.com.tw/DC-2110.zip
and cannot find the page
anyone else have the same problem?

Installed the driver at 60Hz, and still comes up with strange colours - sometimes the camera focuses and it is crystal clear, but nearly all of the times it is the awful colour
