Hey everyone,
Could anyone help to clarify what "file system access control" would mean in relation to Windows 7 ?

I have to come up with the "levels of security" for the above.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated as I'm just about ready to rip my hair out.

Thanks.

I presume this is for some sort of assignment for class? What are your thoughts on this so far?

Hey there,
Thanks for jumping in on this.

It is for an assignment, but due to human error the resource materials I'm supposed to have didn't get sent to me when they should have been.
I'm still waiting for them but can't really waste the time at this point so I'm trying to get information wherever I can.

So far, I've covered UAC, User levels and EFS.
I'm just not really sure if I'm on the right track.

Thanks again.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Don't forget about the inherent security controls in the disk format you choose as well (FAT, FAT32, or NTFS).

Thanks for the response, much appreciated.

I've already sent it in so if that was part of what they're looking for it'll bounce back to me.
I figured if I haven't got it right, whatever feedback they give me should help to clarify what they were looking for.

Thanks again.
