Clean install of Windows

Hey everyone, I'd like to preform a clean install of 7 Home Premium. The computer in question already has 7 on it, installed using an upgrade disk, but now I'd like a fresh start. I read in a stickied post above that upgrade discs are able to preform clean installs, but will I need to deactivate Windows before using the same key to install? Thanks in advance

When you do the clean install, do not give the number when asked. Untick the box for automatic activation. When done, install programs, use it for a while, if happy, activate, then.

After activation, first thing make a system image on an external and update it once a month. If you ever have a problem, you will have an easy back up. No more phone calls, no more installs.

You have 30 days to activate after installation.
