First, let me inform all of you-I very rarely shut this pc down (Maybe that has something to do with it) ? But,I've noticed that over the last few months that my pc's reaction time is definitely not quite as good as it used to be (Internet wise.Lots of hang time. And,I believe it affects other parts of my system (somewhat) as well.I am also on the lowest possible tier of AT&T's telephone line based dsl.

What I'm wondering is that if I do this clean install thing I've been told about here (several times) is if that's gonna help any of that.Facebook has gotten to the point that it takes a full minute and a half to completely load its page and a lot of times (most of the time) after I've scrolled through the page for awhile, the next posts just will not load at all ! VERY frustrating.Personally,I think it's this sh*t dsl tier we're currently on.

Any ideas/comments greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Check some of the last pages for updated lists,

You can also try this,
Temp files delete,
Save it to your desktop,
Then right click it and click on Run this as administrator and Start the scanner,
Shut your machine down after it finishes if prompted to if not close button,

Hi,
Regular scans would scan everything
Not sure why anyone would want to save temp files either it is quite weird :)

TFC will find items that don't get deleted using windows or a browsers settings to delete
It also finds left over Java crud too so it's a great little free utility that I use regularly once a week.

Leaving the machine on is ok, but the one thing that will suffer over time is the hard drive if it's not set to go to sleep after a time of inactivity. There are a lot of things you can do to tune a system up, but much of it can be done with a reinstall. I've done a lot of work on the CQ57, and properly tuned it's a good machine that should have no problem with FB.
