Clean install win 7 - getting error 0x80300024

I am having some troubles trying to install win 7 home premium. I just finished building this computer with a brand new western digital hard drive 2TB (SATA). Everything on this machine is brand new. When I get to the point to where it asks me "where do you want to install windows?" screen I get this error 0x80300024 or it will just sit there and the little loading icon just hangs there. What is e problem. Thanks in advance for any help with this. I am seriously pulling out my hair on is one.

It could be a disk partition issue. Try this:

1. Delete a partition, for example, drive D on the Disk 0.
2. Start to install Windows 7.
3. During installation, do not select any partitions, but choose "Drive Options".
4. Create a new partition with the unallocated space.
5. Continue to install.

Disconnect any un-necessary USB external devices, extra monitors, TV's, etc

Do you have the latst BIOS version update?

Have you tried setting your SATA controller to AHCI in BIOS setup?

Unplug all other HD's.

Try creating smaller OS partition for install.

Remove all but 2gb of RAM for install, swap RAM, test RAM.

Where did you get Win7? Did you burn the DVD yourself?

As Greg has said you may need to create a (lot) smaller partition to do the install to, have a look at this tutorial at Step Two for an easy way to do it before the install.
