I am currently doing a clean re-install, but there are 4 partitions that I am wondering if are ok to delete. It would be great if you could tell me why because I don't want to make a mistake. I have one 500mb total size called Disk 0 Partition 1: ESP type:system. The next one is a Disk 0 Partition 2: DIAGS 40mb. I have an Alienware aurora r4 so I think that is dell diagnostics tool. Next is partition 3 128mb that is MSR reserved. Finally is the recovery partition which I think I can delete. So basically I want to now which one I can safely delete without having any problems. I delete some registry keys accidentally and I wanted to do a clean re-install to play it safe.

You should be following Clean Reinstall Windows 7 espeically the Special Note for Dell Owners at the which explains how to determine whether to keep the OEM Utiliity partition if it will still boot and run Dell Hardware Diagnostics from F12 Menu. If so delete all but that partition to create and Format new as you please. If not then delete all partitions and do same.

Everything that works best is in the blue link, used so far by over a million consumers without a single complaint.
