Cleaning Keyboard

I've washed two keyboards under hot water without taking them apart. One of them had pop spilled on it. I shook out as much water as I could and let them dry in the sun for a couple of days. They both work fine now. I've heard stories where people have actually put them in dishwashers and they worked fine afterwords. Your mileage may vary. ;)

WOW... Even I'm not that brave....

I plugged them into my old beater PC for the first test. ;)
If they are dry the worst that can happen is you get a stuck key or keys that don't work. The one that had pop spilled on it had stuck keys and would have been thrown out anyway. They look almost new now, all shiny clean. :D

Compressed air

I just found this thread. My space key had something jammed under it and i could barely use it. I didn't even think of using the compressed air because there's hardly any gaps on my keyboard, and it felt like something heavy was caught under the key. After reading I decided to try the compressed air, worked like a charm.

COMPRESSED AIR WORKS!
