Cleanup (2 users) and what to delete?

My 128 GB SSD are always like 90 % full.


I Had lot of troubles back when windows10, downloaded by itself.
youknow...

reverse win updates KB259XXXXX and such..to get rid of it and hiding the packages for future wuauct.

Now, suddenly my C: drive has like 3 GB free space again !

I have done/ as we speak:
-disc cleanup. remove sysfiles, empty basket, del copies,restore points
-uninstalling programs I dont need
-about 5.0 GB Steamfiles/data moved to other storage
-Uninstalling FL Studio and move data to other storage




But still ! What about this?


C:\Users\admin 24,7 GB (admin. dont use)
C:\Users\rihtt 13,8 GB (this is my account. that matters)

*I can not understand why the admin-account containts so much. It most be doublettes?
How Can I safely browse and decide what to delete?
I use the admin-account only for like maintance.

So most of my user-data,programs and such are installed @rihht account.
It shouldnt be 11 GB extra on the admin account in my world!




C:\SWSETUP 6,0 GB (wtf? lots of .CVA files. Intel ? )

C:\WINDOWS 23,6 GB (what to delete? whats important?)

I use the admin-account only for like maintance.

This is the main problem.
If this PC is for yourself only, then do whatever as, maintenance, install programs, etc in your own account.

Did you deleted all the temp files in admin-account and your account.

C:\Users\rihtt\AppData\Local\Temp

C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Temp

Select & copy the above in full, and paste it in the Windows Explorer on the top.
Do delete all files inside this Temp folders, and if unable to delete, select skip.

When you selected all the files in this Temp folder, press+hold the 'shift' key, then click delete.
This mean that the selected files are permanent delete, which will not in the Recycled bin.
Clear the recycle bin, also.

C:\Windows\Temp\*.* deleted all using the press+hold the shift key.

C:\Users\account-names\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

C:\Users\account-names\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\History

These are some of the files which can be deleted.
If some short-cut is not necessary, delete it.
Each of files are not big but use some extra space.

Go and get a 250 GB SSD or higher, as the pricing had drop a lot, cheaper.

I Installed my windows this way.
Dont want to be logged in as administrator for security issues.

But If You have a solution for me, lets hear it.
I dont know how to revert this or what to do without having to reinstall my OS.

selected all the files in this Temp folder
press+hold the 'shift' key
then click delete.

Oki doki

C:\Windows\Temp\*.*
deleted all using the press+hold the shift key.

353 objects
215 MB



Most of the data was removed when I uninstalled the programs, and steam contents
for games.

I will try that, and if necessary repost a screenshot.

(And what happens If I decide to make the "user" upgrade to admin rights.
And then inactive /delete the old adminaccount? Will it free up space aswell?

This is where win puts the updates files to install. I regularly delete all them.
After a reboot, go to services - windows update and stop it. Then delete the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download files and folders.
Reboot.

1. WinTree was great! I found the biggest issue (a .vhd virtual disk ofc)

I could shrink it and now have 20 gb free space again.

But I also found some other anomalis thanks to the wizard.
two specific files thats supposed to be around 3 mb , when they in fact had about 800 mb size each (!)



2. I also deleted everything at:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download ( 1,8 GB )


3. What about winsxs? The "backup" may be unneccessary?
