First and foremost I hope I have posted in the right section.
Hello all..I have only recently noticed when you delete a file, weather it is a Folder/Wordpad/ Video/Music file,/Photo etc etc..Then once you click onto Search and type in the name of the file that you just deleted, the file will still shows in Search. When I attempt to click on the file that is still showing.. A message will pop up, which as follows..."That this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut? I click "Yes" And it deletes as normal.
Now another way I can completely remove a file/folders/photos etc from through into Search is to go through - AppData-Roaming-Microsoft-Windows-Recent Items..When I finally reach the Most Recent folder..There is an option to Clear recents items list, for when you right click.
Excuse my ignorance but is there a way to automatically update the Recent Items folder and have it delete the items, for when they have been deleted? Or is this a normal occurrence? Like I stated I have never noticed this before
Thank you, all

HI Brink and thank you for the welcome I did what was instructed regarding to rebuild the index. Once I got to Indexing Option..I hit Advanced and Rebuild. It does state that it can take several hours to a long time. The scan for me lasted no more then 10 to 15 minutes. Does that sound right to you?
Unfortunately that did not solve it. Is there another way to rectify this issue?
Thanks again for your time and effort.

Before I apply that instruction, Brink...I don't have Recent Items in my Start Menu. But... by unchecking both..Store and display recently opened programs in the start menu & Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar..Would that also disable the Recent Item (Icon) folder? through the route of..AppData-Roaming-Microsoft-Windows?
Thanks
