After troubleshooting slow shutdowns, I discovered that the pagefile is being cleared as a security feature. I understand what this does and decided I'd rather have faster shutdowns. Anyway, this is disabled in group policy. I can change the registry key ( at\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management ) for ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 0, which fixes it temporarily, but whenever group policy is updated or I do a
, that registry key is back to 1 giving me long shutdown headaches! Where is my computer getting this if it's disabled in group policy? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
