Last few weeks I've been viewing my normal web news or shopping pages and when I click on a link for more details or a news story, all of a sudden I'm switched to a survey site! This is happening 24/7 to me on every web site I visit. I've been keeping track of the addresses of these switched sites and it's usually one like "web-opinions.com" or "survey-freebies.com" or a half dozen other sites with similar names. I've repeatedly scanned with Malwarbytes and Norton Anti-virus and nothing comes up now but the switches still take place.

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to stop it? I've got 3rd party pop-ups blocked!

Unfortunately you didn't say which browser or if all browsers your using that the issue occurs in,
If all browsers are doing it you've most like downloaded a bug and it's listed in your Uninstall a program list,
Post screen shots the links for how are above my signature picture,
You can also take some of your browsers add-ons pages/ Toolbars and extensions and accelerators sections.
Review Jacee’s instructions to run Adwcleaner here,

Many thanks for your reply. Sorry, forgot to specify browser. I'm using IE 10 and I've repeatedly used Revo Uninstaller to check for adware, malware, etc. At first I had a bunch of stuff that apparently came from downloaded software but I uninstalled all that stuff and then re-scanned for Malware and all seemed clean a couple of times. Now, it's amazing how when I'm in a website like just now on Amazon, I go to checkout on a purchase and the link is immediately to "survey-freebies.com" asking my gender as a start on a questionnaire. This happens very frequently on almost all websites I access. I'll follow your instructions shortly when I get free from work. Again, thanks.

You can also use CCleaner to clean off nasty cookies. Just keep the cookies you need for automatic logins and delete everything else.

Also you might look at HijackThis.
Another thing to check is the hosts file.
Sometimes you'll see stuff added that doesn't belong there.
WinPatrol can also be helpful as it notifies you when things like your home page get changed.

Thanks for the tips. I've never heard of the "hosts file". Can you point me to it. A search doesn't bring it up to me.

Per ThrashZone's suggestion I downloaded the little program he recommended (can't remember the name just now) and it seems to have worked! I'm just waiting to see if any more forced survey pages or strange ad pages come up involuntarily in my browser. Thanks ThrashZone.
