Client's Windows Laptop stay on Windows loading screen

I have a client coming over to drop his Laptop and he explained to me his problem. Whenever he powers up his laptop , The windows screen loads and stays stuck. No blue screen of death occurs . I was just wondering before I receive it, what do you guys think the problem can be?
