Hello all. Don't know if I am in the right section but please indulge me. I have an Alerartec basic disk duplicator and I thought it was making accurate clones of my main drive. That was until now. By that I mean when I click on SYSTEM on my working drive it says WINDOWS ACTIVATED. After using the duplicator, and removing the source disk and installing the newly made clone drive and clicking on SYSTEM it says windows is NOT activated. I have tried contacting Aleratec a number of times but to no avail. So much for tech support. So, I thought I would ask here if anyone else has had this problem - making a clone/backup of an activated system and finding the clone was indicating NOT activated. Could this somehow be a windows 'thing' or perhaps a setting to now allow it? The whole point of making a backup is to ensure in the EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY one has a way to continue on with the minimal amount of discomfort, down time and loss of data. Thanks for any information given.
