I have a question. We have a Kiosk where guest get to choose their background for the picture they took. We use Win 7 OS. Our attraction closes at 9:30pm every night. I would like to know if there is something in Windows 7 where I can make a message appear that says "We are closed, please see us again tomorrow" at a specific time. This is so our customer's are aware that they cannot use the Kiosk until we open up again the next day.

The only way i could think off would be to make a powerpoint, and turn it on when needed. You can make it qwitch slide after a certain amount of time, and loop.

I dont have powerpoint installed on that kiosk. I will have to find something similar to Powerpoint. Do you know of any software that might be able to do what I"m asking? I was thinking about using the screen saver and having it pop up during the time I need it to, but I haven't been able to configure the screensaver to what I want it to do.

Welcome to Seven Forums hgar1212. Some more info please, it may help someone help you. You mention a kiosk, is it a regular 7 pc, or it is running Kiosk mode? Currently at 9:30 it is off, or? Does the PC display the lock screen when it is off?

Will it let you change the lock screen background image to a sign stating what you wish? it may have to fit around the login picture. If the display was off and the customer woke it, it would display the sign.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/5382-log-screen-change.html

You'd have to create the sign image yourself. Just an idea. Let us know how the PC is set up so we can know what we're working with. A Guy

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I looked at slidedog and I think that will be useful. I will install it in one of our kiosks and run the "closed" sign to see how it works.

To "A Guy":

The OS I"m running is a regular Windows 7 pc. It's not running in "Kiosk" mode. We have a website that is accessed via google, where it takes us to the software that runs the application. The Kiosk doesn't turn "off" at 9:30pm, it stays on all night. I just need it to have a sign appear that states we are closed. The kiosk is used for customer's to retrieve their pictures and choose different backgrounds. They can then email those pictures to themselves(gmail, hotmail, etc) or use any social website(facebook, twitter, etc) to post their picture. It runs similar to the space needle in seattle washington(if you ever been there).

I wouldn't need to mess with the lock screen background image because it would never lock.

Pretty much this is how it works.

They customer purchases a ticket, takes a picture(free picture included with the ticket), we print out a picture receipt where the customer takes it to our GeO-deck(560 feet above ground) and approaches one of our Kiosks. He/she scans the picture receipt and their picture pops up. They then choose a background of their choice(we have 6 different backgrounds) and email it to themselves.
