When I visit several different sites and close the screen I am finished with,it should close, right? Then when I am done with the computer and start to close it down, most of the pages that I closed are still there, behind the original screen I started with. How do I get them to close and go away at the first close?

How are you closing the window? Do you click on the white X in the red box at the top right of the browser window? If not, what are you doing.

Do you have your browser windows set to open full screen? If so, click on the double box next to the red x to make it windowed, then continue as normal. See what happens when you click on the X. The window should definitely close.

If the windows are not closing it is probably being caused by an Add-on, so try starting Internet Explorer without Add-ons.

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Internet Explorer (no Add-ons). See if that window closes okay. If yes then use Tools / Manage Add-ons to eliminate a few at a time until you find the one causing the problem.

Thank you for the help. I use Fire Fox but I did not have a full screen. I changed that and now I only have one still there when I close everything out. So that helped a lot.I will also check the add-on's
