Cod 5 ?

Hi

Just installed COD world at war seems ok even with updates to 1.4 but no servers show up on multiplayer, anyone know why this is ?
Also can it be corrected ?

No idea. It lagged to much on my laptop so I uninstalled it. :/

I didn't even bother trying to play it online.




Edit: Make sure you don't have it only looking for LAN servers.

Hi

The game acts as though it is working, ie it searches for servers when asked and you can see it counting up in the top left but nothing shows up in the panel.
I tried to transport some of my saved data in the favourites and it showed up but would not refresh or load the servers.

Make sure that all your ports are forwarded right on your router... other than that...
Im not sure why you wouldnt be seeing any servers, but if you are running WIN7 you cant play on any punkbuster servers, as punkbuster isnt supported on WIN7

that part is wrong because punkbuster is indeed working with cod 5 now

How did you get patch 1.4 to install btw. After doing 1.2 and 1.3 patches the 1.4 patch gives me an "error reading ini file". Any hints


NM, must have just been a corrupt file. I downloaded again and it seems to work fine.

Just FYI, you only need to install the 1.2 and 1.4 patch, 1.3 is included in the 1.4 patch.

Try starting a new profile and see if that works. It might be having trouble reading your config files. Also for a possible simple solution check the server filters to make sure it's not filtering too much.

Just for a clean start, I deleted windows.old and installed a new copy of the game, created a new profile then copied my config files to overwrite the new profile. It's been working perfectly on many punkbuster enabled servers for 2 weeks.
