I had the same error for Hitman Absolution and I could not solve it ..
I DO have the required system specs and .net framework 4.0(recently installed 4.5, tried to install 4.0 but it says it it already installed)
Please help me solve that error, I so want to play this game
(running windows 8.1 pro x86)

I would try checking for error on my hdd, updating audio and video drivers, uninstalling and installing the game again... if nothing works, Google the error.
