COD Ghosts. DXDIAG ERROR. Device hung

Hey folks,

My buddy just got COD Ghosts DVD and installed it. Game installed perfectly and loads as well. Issue comes when the game starts. Display driver stopped responding. In event viewer, error comes device hung DXDIAG error. We have updated Direct X, VC++, GPU (his is also 6870 HD) drivers. Disabled AA, still the game crashes.

This error comes only in COD. I have read that COD is facing this issue and the same is happening to Steam versions as well.

Any suggestions?

I would try a fresh install of the game. New games always have problems, a patch might fix it.

Thanks a lot Dude. We tried to re install the game several times. Can you please suggest any patch we can use?

Check the game site. I am sure they are releasing a patch or working on one. I do not have the new COD yet or I would know better.
