i get this in device manager

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

i don't know where to download drivers for free

Which device is giving this error? Find the device, right click the entry in Device Manager and choose update driver software. Then choose Search automatically for updated driver software. If no help, let us know and we'll help you identify the device, and see what drivers we can find for you. generally, all the drivers will be free. The manufacturers website is the 1st place to look. A Guy

I am having the same problem with a USB cable for my Baofeng UV-5R UHF /VHF radio. I a supposed to download Prolific driver version 3.2.0.0 > I have tried updating the software to a newer version and still get the same 52 code.

Welcome to Seven Forums mikea650e. This is an older thread, but let's see if we can help you. What OS version do you have? 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64)?
