might have had a chance to be "one of the best of all time" but 60$, having to use IWnet and future paid PC DLC sealed it's fate on the PC platform imho

it's good, great even but i wouldn't say it's one of the best games of all time. they really need to try something new the current and past wars in fps games are overdone, so are quake and unreal clones. give me something new.

Exactly what Zepher has said here. Also the game is supposed to be 18+ but you still get alot of like 13 year olds on it.

The only reason I bought it is that the guys I played with in a clan got it and the only way I could continue gaming with them was on MW2. I enjoyed gaming with them so I broke down and got it, then proceeded to do a wholesale PC upgrade to go along with it (I was due anyway).

I dislike the lobby system, I love how I'll have the map loaded but I have to wait until the counter to get to 10 for the "best host" to connect, it does a poor job of picking the best host, one of our clan members is a terrible host but it will pick him sometimes for some unknown reason.

I like some of the maps but overall I think the first MW was better for the multiplayer system.

I honestly think that MW2 has great gameplay. IWNet has destroyed it though and therefore takes away any positives that the game has. If the game were to have dedi server support I think that there would be nothing that could touch it. So to answer your question. It is the best game to ever hit consoles. It is one of the worst PC releases I have ever played.

I agree but I will add like others have said in this thread the VAC cheat protection is terrible for MW2...I knew it wasn't a good sign when I ran into an aimboter and lvl 10 prestige players the first day the game was released

At the beginning yes the hackers were out of control. Slowly most casual hackers are being weeded out. I haven't seen one that was obvious. So either the hackers are going away or they are being a bit more crafty.
