Its not clear what you want to do messing with the reg is dangerous and reverting back to install could brick the pc as data changes all the time and it may then not point to correct files or files long since gone and replaced

What I want in simple terms is to colapse all the expanded keys. I am speaking english and I know how dangerouse it is. Are you telling me that I hve to spend a whole day scrolling through all this and colapse each one individualy. What is needed is a reset back to everything closed as you would have when you installed windows.

SIMPLE :)

Without experimenting, , , ,
there should be a box in front of 'My Computer', you want a "+" (plus sign) there. The "-" (minus sign) indicates various levels of registry are open.
Clicking a "-" should close a level to a "+", nothing open below.
Messing with the registry can be dangerous!!
However, if you already have it open, clicking the "+" and/or "-" sign boxes does not change anything already set in the registry.

Is this what you want to know??

Messing with the registry can be dangerous!!

I do not have mental health conditions.

I have opened the regesrty key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Appearance\New Schemes\4\Sizes

I then close HKEY_CURRENT_USER

See if you can see a plus sign telling you that there is a set of keys expanded fully?

Just for the fun of it, there are 10 more of these. See if you can find them all. And see if you can see the plus sign you mention?

Expanding the keys in Regedit does not in any way effect the registry itself. You can safely close the top level "Computer" key and close Regedit. When Regedit is reopened only that key will be open.
