Hi all
if I go into command prompt and type something like cd o:\ it just seems to ignore it and leave me in the default directory c:\users\username

It DOES work however if I type the directory name directly as o:\

Anyone else notice.

Means I need to change a few batch scripts -- maybe I should get away from using commands like this but that's another topic.

cheers
jimbo

Its been that way since DOS days. Its not ignoring the command, its actually performing it on that particular drive but not in the prompt. To change to o: you still have to type "o:" to get there.
