What do you mean by "Not sure why my system needs the extension, maybe because I disabled the built-in search"?I was getting the same error: "'sfc' is not recognized as an internal or external, operable program or batch file." when I tried to run sfc in a Run as Administrator cmd prompt.
Got it working by typing "sfc.exe /scannow" instead of "sfc /scannow".
Not sure why my system needs the extension, maybe because I disabled the built-in search??
I have Windows 7 Pro(64)
