Comodo antivirus is preventing the installation of a software.

I got rid of comodo but something's still preventing the installation of that program. Maybe it's the malware bytes? I tried a full scan on malware bytes to see if it can catch the coudfront virus that is making all these annoying popups. I noticed that the Malware Bytes has "protection disabled". If I ran the scanner while it was disabled does it not work?

The Comodo I would certainly get back on or something at least.

At least change your system specs, so those helping you will know you are using windows 8.

@John, I understand you prefer Comodo but for the time being I think windows defender (MSE on Windows 8) will suffice until the OP's computer is clean.

Agreed Derek there is something very untoward going on in that machine eh? It's not that I prefer Comodo mate I just put it on my friends and workmates machines who cannot afford paid for security I have been trying out Bitdefender for that too.

I just installed that chocoplayer on my win 8 VM and defender is fighting it, not to mention it won't run on win 8, I'm getting runtime errors.

Girom I think you need to find a different player, Chocoplayer is not going to play nice on your new computer.

And it hijacked my browser! Leave that garbage off your computer...

And, Malwarebytes just found 15 nasty adware and PUP downloaders on what was a clean install of 8.

Chocoplayer is your problem and whatever you let it do to your system.

Yeah, forget chocoplayer, it is malware-ridden. Try the free open source VLC player, it can play most any media file.
