If I'm not mistaken, COMODO System Cleaner is a 64-bit program. However, the installer installs the program to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder, not the C:\Program Files folder by default. I know some installers still do this despite the 64-bit nature of the application, but when I try to change the folder to install COMODO in, problems start occurring. I keep changing the installation directory to C:\Program Files, but when I click Install and finish the installation, I notice that the installer installed the files to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder even though I told it to install in the C:\Program Files folder. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times and each time I change the directory, the installer refuses to listen to me. Does anyone know how to fix this? I got it to install just fine in the C:\Program Files folder of my Windows XP Professional x64 virtual OS.

The obvious question is, did you indeed download the x64 version? There is a version that supports both.

Have you use this before BTW? I have had several people have real problems caused by this program. Just FYI.

First of all, yes, I did download the x64 version because when I run it, the task manager shows the process as CSC.exe and not CSC.exe *32. My problem is installing the program in the folder that I want. I tell the installer to install to the C:\Program Files, but it keeps installing to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder. I'm downloading the files from here:
Download System-Cleaner
When I installed CSC in Windows XP x64, I was using these same files and they worked fine. Windows 7 seems to have an issue with this installer.

Also, yes, I have used this multiple times actually without damaging my computer. Besides, I always make a restore point before using it, so if I have to, I can just pop in the Windows 7 disk and restore my system in case anything goes wrong.
