I ran across this free program about a month ago, and have been using it extensively. It has saved me numerous times, since I'm always testing new software, some of which I either don't end up wanting or just doesn't work. So using Time Machine steps in and does a restore. I've often had problems with Windows System Restore and therefore do not feel safe using it. Has anybody else tried Time Machine? If so, what are your thoughts and experiences with it?

Can't they get sued for using that name?

I tried using a free program call Time-Freeze on an older laptop for a few weeks and yesterday it shutdown and windows could not recover. I'll need to restore the image. I am not sure if its a hard drive going out or if the software caused some corruption that made window unable to recover.

I have a paid license for Eaz-Fix Pro and used it for quite some time. When CTM came out I decided to give it a try. It's been installed for six months now with no problems that I'm aware of. I've made countless snapshots and restores testing various apps and almost every AV on the market. It has always restored perfectly. I have re-set to baseline, and updated the program twice with no problems. Some have reported problems with the install, some with the un-install. I haven't un-installed it yet but I haven't found a reason to do so. I suggest for others wanting to try it or the likes to make an Image prior to installation for a just in case.

Try Sandboxie for your "testing new software". No changes will be made to your system, and if anything bad happens, just reboot and back to normal:

Sandboxie

As you saw in the other thread, I've not heard anything but bad things about CTM.

I use WOT and Sandboxie for my IE searches. IE is not my default browser.
Especially when I search for graphic designs and not familiar with the site.
