Hi,have just started using ie8 again and noticed companionuser.exe running in task manager,could anyone tell me if this is a valid process or not please,have tried google but could not find an answer,thanks

Bought pc from tesco 3 years ago,but have upgraded,memory,graphics card ,sound card,monitor,added usb ports and have cit vantage case,only motherboard and prossesor thats original.and upgraded from xp to windows 7,and new speakers,second hard drive for backup.WD essentials 250gb external hard drive

You are right. Information is inconclusive. I would run a full system virus scan.

Am doing that now,it only run with IE 8,it seems to be something to do with windows live.That is wherew the file is located.
