I have a program I am wanting to install, but requires Windows 2003 Service Pack 2 to install.
I have a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit I am wanting to install on, but the compatibility is only available for Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1.

Is there a download to allow for compatibility for windows server 2003 service pack 2?

Have you tried to install it on Win 7?
More then likely if it's made to run on Win Server 2003 SP2 it will run natively on Win 7.
I don't know of any program that was made to run on Win Server 2003 SP2 ONLY.

99% of all programs made run on multiple MS OSs regardless of the SP. I'm running MS Office 2000 on Win 7 64bit without problem. That is a 11+ year old program and originally made to work on Win 98 & 2000/NT.

Yes I have tried to install on the Windows 7 OS to start with, and then I read the installation files. It states that the only OS is Windows 2003 service pack 2
The program is McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5

Well maybe because that program is for centrally managed networks. Like in Domain controller. Win 7 is not a domain controller OS.

So I doubt it will install and even if you get to install it probably won't run and or work as it is supposed to. It is not for a standalone OS.

Really you need to look for another security program.

Unfortunately I dont have the luxury of another security program, this is the mandated program.

I am installing a virtual box with windows 2003 to test out as an alternate.

That's fine if you want to protect the virtual machine.

What I don't understand is IF it is a Mandated program it should be pushed down to all client computers from the server. Strike that.

From what I am reading from this link.
McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator | McAfee Products
This is not a security program at all. It is a Foundation for a security management program.

I think you need to talk to your companies IT department.
Sorry I have nothing else to add.
