Alright, so, here's the deal I purchased a new computer not two months ago... And I cannot play games to save my own life, I know the integrated graphics card is a joke, but everything else about this computer is amazing, so I was wandering could somebody give me a link to an affordable yet powerful graphics card? With the system specifications I will provide? Here's the specs...

Compaq Presario
Model: CQ5210F
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium (Build 7600) 64-Bit
Current Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

And here is a link to the full list of specifications provided by the Compaq website. And bus slots, which are very important lol.

Please somebody help me, I need to game, I cannot even play Call Of Duty 2 on the lowest settings.

And would somebody tell me and if I get a new graphics card, will I be able to run newer games?

Much help would be appreciated.

Thank You,
Aaron (Firebat)

Yes you will. Need a couple of things from you first,

1. How much are you looking to spend?

2. What size power supply is in that HP of yours? Pop the side off and there should be a label on the side of it, post back what it shows for the total watts as well as what it shows for the +12V reading.

The 6150 graphics chip is a joke. They were part of HP computers back in early 2007. A new graphics card would do wonders, but you may need to upgrade your power supply. HP's tend to have good processors and good quality RAM, but the power supplies and graphics are to be balked at a little bit. Like stormy said, pop off the side of your case and find out how much wattage the power supply has. Odds are, it won't have enough to support a good video card, but these days you could get a 650W power supply for under $100, which should be able to handle anything you throw at it.

Sorry, I am not too familiar with the Power Supply aspect of hardware for a computer lol.

I am willing to spend $50-$100 for the graphics card, although I would like to keep everything under or at the $200 range after all expenses.

That Link I provided should tell you some of that, but, I guess it doesn't lol.

Thank you Stormy13 and KazeNoKo23. The help is very much appreciated, I am getting closer to gaming, I can taste it lol. ;)

Alright, so these will work with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit right?

And it will improve all this mumbo jumbo right?

If the answer is yes to all of those questions, and if it's all compatible with my system, with information provided, then thank you very much, and I appreciate it very much! :) Thank you Stormy.
