Hi, all.

As the title says, I have two options here.

1. Wipe the drive and start my laptop build with a clean Windows 7 Pro install.

or

2. Remove ZoneAlarm Free Firewall, either using the ZoneAlarm uninstall or Windows 7 Add/Remove Programs remove option.

My goal here is completely removing all traces of ZoneAlarm Free Firewall and anything that might have piggybacked with it. I don't know if the ZoneAlarm Free Firewall uninstall or the Windows Add/Remove Programs options will do this.

The laptop build with ZoneAlarm Free Firewall was completed at the beginning of this year.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Even if you totally wipe out Zone Alarm, I doubt that anything that came piggy-back with it will be removed. You would have to know what came with it and remove them individually.

Sorry Andrew but it won't.

Download the Zone Alarm removal tool from here

Andy

And you know this how? You tell me no and you point to another utility?
Have you used this utility?
I installed zone alarm in a VM, ran revo uninstaller after reboot, and I manually checked for the files/reg keys. It wiped them all out from what I can tell.
Maybe both tools work. If so cool.
Ether way, both of ours are opinions. You can't go around saying I'm wrong and link him to another utility. Its fine to link someone something else but dont just say I'm wrong and leave. Explain please.

Maybe I am wrong. Maybe revo does not. Have you tested it? If it doesn't I would love to know so I do not recommend it.

If I'm wrong great. :) But please show facts. Don't just say I'm wrong without showing/explaining why.
