I am having trouble running the ComproDTV 4 on Windows 7 RE, build 7100.

Windows Media Center has no problem showing all channels but ComproDTV won't run. It comes up with a message saying " No Video capture device found, please reinstall the driver again".

I reinstalled the driver again, this time from Compro's website, still get the same message. I know the E700's driver is working but why ComproDTV won't run. I like the app because i can share the recorded filew it in native form with PS3.

ComproDTV4 is not picking up the TV tuner card.

Is there a workaround this problem?

Hi,

I had the exact same problem but with their newest 900 card

I can get everything to work perfectly in media centre but the dtv4 software is horrible.

-It constantly crashes
-It only seems to register the analogue chips in the card

So no help from me....but you're not the only one.

I did however get DTV4 to work when it was launched as an "Extra" under WMC. There the card work OK but I don't think it was using all of the DTV4 feature.

Cheers,
Mix

I am starting to think that the DTV4 is not design for digital TV at all in windows 7.

I have everything working perfect in WMC though.

Hi folks. I installed a ComproDTV E650 yesterday with DTV4 (a download from the Compro site yesterday 12 Aug) and it works fine with Windows 7 x64. I get over 40 channels (including radio) from a portable 'set-top' antenna. the picure is perfect with 100% signal strength. I live on the south coast UK. I would mention that the DTV3 that came bundled with the card is rubbish....If you installed a previous version you should uninstall before loading DTV4. Regards Tony.

Hi again. Just had a thought about how I scanned for channels. I found that I get many more channels by entering UK > 'other' (rather than a specific transmission area). Obviously if you're not in UK then you should try options suitable for your location. Tony.
