Computer automatically powers off during video rendering

when rendering videos in SonyVegas 11, my computer will automatically power off, losing hours of work each time (happened 5 times now) during the video rendering. no error message, just turns itself completely off. What is causing the computer to power off on its own and how do I fix it?

Your power supply is probably not adequate enough and cannot handle the load so it powers off.

Is this a custom build?

It is either the Power Supply or it is overheating. Download Speccy to check the temperatures.
