Computer BSOD playing world of warcraft

After I wake up my computer from sleep mode from leaving it on for 5 hours Ill run World of warcraft or any other game and then it will blue screen or slow down to a snail's pace and be unable to play.

Stop putting your computer to sleep. Either shut it off when you're done or leave it running.

its a brand new computer though and it shouldn't be blue screening regardless if I left it on, I should be able to just put it to sleep and not have this problem.
