I hope someone can help me. I have a fresh install of Windows 7 Basic 64 bit. Activacted and ready to go. No antivirus yet because I do not want to block updates. When I go to Windows update and check for updates the computer will start searching. It will never find anything and it will never stop searching. I have reinstalled the windows 3 times. All ways the same. I hope someone can help me.

If thefile is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files untilthe final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately afterzipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for anumber of reasons)

Pleasealso post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file
