Hey guys,
My Dell XPS 8700 is connected to my business Wireless network for Internet purposes and to access share folders. I also have it connected to my video server via Ethernet, so that I can access all of my video and pictures. The video server is on a separate network (I won't get into the details of why, unless you guys need me to), but it also is connected to the internet provided by Charter Communications.
The printer I use here in my office is on the Wireless network, and when I have my "video" network Ethernet cable plugged into my computer I'm not able to print. I'm guessing that since my "video" network also has internet capability, that when it's plugged in my computer automatically uses the Ethernet connection over the Wireless. Is there anyway to tell my computer to not to use the Ethernet connection, and stay on the Wireless connection? Or is there a setting I can change in which my computer will still be able to connect to my printer over the Wireless network when I have the Ethernet cable plugged in?
Any suggestions you guys may have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
