hi all, i am trying to figure out how my laptop crashed. first off, my hp 2000 series keeps getting hot and the charge doesn't stay long. i can have it fully charged and it last for maybe an hour unplugged. when i am working on something and i can't get to the charger on time, it shuts down improperly. now my laptop won't come on. i get as far as the hp screen and then it goes blank with the words operating system not found that keeps flashing at the top of the screen. how can i get it back running??

Hi,

It may be possible to reset it to the factory default settings, or better still a safe boot mode so you dont lose any files/data....but we need more details. Is it a Pavilion DV2000? Was the laptop purchased with Windows already installed?

Regards,
Golden
