Computer crashed refuses to boot or charge

Hi,

My computer is a Dell inspiron 14R (2011). It crashed yesterday and now it refuses to boot up. Thinking it might be the battery problem, I tried charging it. I know my charger is working because of the charging light but when I plug it in, the light turns off so I'm assuming the computer doesn't want to charge. Does this mean my processor or something has shortcircuited?

Try:
- Unplug the charger and run on battery alone
- Then remove battery and run on charger alone

- Remove both charger and battery, press power button for 30 seconds, then plug them back in and try booting

I tried that. Still doesn't turn on

Hmm, when you say can't boot, does it power on but can't boot to Windows or not start at all?

I would remove the RAM and HDD and see if it would at least start up like that. I wonder what others will say.
