Computer crashes and Bootmgr is missing

Trying to keep irrelevant details out of it, but my computer crashed. Went bought new Gigabyte Motherboard, Intel I-5 processor, OCZ SSD drive, was getting a BSOD until firmware upgraded on the OCZ drive. Seemed to work fine for three or four days. Now almost daily, I come home to the computer saying Bootmgr is missing. If I power it off and back on, it boots up and runs fine. Yesterday replaced the power supply thinking that maybe it was not getting good clean power. Came home today and same result. I am stumped.....looking for suggestions as to what to try next...clean install of Win7? Ditching the SSD for a standard drive for a few days to see how that goes? Any direction would be great I am definetly a newb. Just kind of learned by doing.

I would look at the manufacturer's website for the ssd.
It more than likely has firmware updates. Most of them do.
It's one of those adjustments they don't bother to tell you about with ssd's though.
In the past it was rather unheard of to have firmware updates for a mechanic drive.
They are so far quite common with ssd's though.

Well the behavior you are describing sounds like a power state management issue with the ssd. i.e. it's not kicking on when it should be resulting in a missing boot file message.

It's hard to say without anything more concrete in the way of system logs and info though.
If the problem persist with the mechanic drive let me know and we'll start trying to troubleshoot the other components.

RMA it. Sounds like more than just the firmware issues.

I would turn off the computer when you are done with it, (no sleep or such). When your have a desire for your computer boot it in the normal way and see what happens. As fast as computers are today I don't understand anything but shut down and reboot.

3 secs vs 50+secs (Cold boot, POST etc) - I know which I prefer

Another thought, were you having BSOD's before you bought the new mother board, I5 & SSD?
Are the mother board & processor the same as you had before?
Didi you do a clean install?
If you changed to a new & different mother board & didn't do a clean OS install, you are probably experiencing motherboard driver issues.
A clean instal may be the only remedy.
If you did a clean install, hopefully someone else has some answers.
