I dont know what the exact term of crashing is but mine stops working and the screen goes to a zig zag pattern and I have to pull the plug and the battery and reboot. its happened 3 or 4 times since I got it the last 7 months and it happened more often than that with my last laptop ( bluescreen with that one ). is this normal for a computer in about a years time or do I live in the twilight zone of electronic signals and hard drive heavy labour? ( maybe I should move just to find out ) .

Crashing, or freezing is not normal. Are you getting a blue screen? does it happen when you boot into safe mode (F8)?

freezing would be what I would decribe not blue screen and no I havent booted into safe mode to find out. safe mode sucks, and how long would I have to wait in safe mode to get a response? like I said this freezing issue happens only rarely so it would be some time before there was a response.
