Hey guys I am new here.

I have a HP probook 4510s laptop is running windows 7 ultimate 32 bit.

Everything was running fine until recently I cannot connect to any network wired/wireless.
The wifi icon in bottom right just goes in circle , i cannot access network and sharing center too and when this happens the computer does not shut down.
It gets stuck on the 'windows is shutting down..' screen. I have to hold the power key for complete shut down.
It's very weird.

I have booted the pc in safe mode and everything starts working. I am able to connect to a network and access the network and sharing center and also the computer shuts down safely.

I have tried to update the wifi drives but it did not help.
recently i had removed the ubuntu partition on my computer (just deleted it) bootloader still present. Maybe this would cause a problem but I highly doubt.

Any further information required please feel free to ask I will post.

Please help me with this problem.
Thank you

First try running SFC /scannow using option 2 in the link. This will check to make sure your system files and registry are intact and attempt to correct any errors. If you do get errors, it may take several runs to correct them.

If you don't receive any errors, update your virus scanner and run it.

Hey guys Thank you for your replies,

Unfortunately this did not work.

The scan showed errors but where solved.
Virus scanned the entire system using AVG but still cannot connect to any network in normal windows.

I have uninstalled any recent installation from the moment this problem started.

Any further information you need i will try and provide.

Thank you once again.

Open Device Manager and expand Network Devices. Are there any question marks or exclamation marks showing?

Download (in safe mode) and install the FREE version of Malwarebytes Anti-malware. Let it update then run a full scan. This is a stand alone scanner and won't affect your current real-time scanner. You do only have ONE real-time AV installed, right?

Heyy thank you for your patience sir.

In device manager but network adapters there aren't any exclamation marks or question marks.
I ran the malware program but the problem still exists.
Yes I have only 1 anti virus software installed and running.

I have come to realise that via ethernet the internet works but there is no icon in the bottom, it still goes round and round hence I had no idea the connection was successful
Now the icon comes as a box and a small circle like in loading. And later on the small circle becomes a cross. But through ethernet connection is alive.

I feel there is a problem with laptops wireless adapter. But again in safe mode everything works.

Thank you once again.
