Now, I'm not quite sure what all happened. I took my comp in for a long-due tune-up after getting back into the country, and now, it's been freezing all of the time. I thought that it might have been due to an updated
BIOS, but that's still the same as it was before.

I could be midtask, I could be away from the computer for five minutes, but regardless, it tends to freeze. I don't really understand what's causing the issue, and there was never one before I took it in. It's getting annoying now.

It definitely happens when I'm not doing anything for a couple of minutes - maybe reading something, or whatever.

I would contact the shop that did the tune up and find out if they used one of those crappy "tune up" programs that seem to be all over the Internet. Chances are they have borked something on you if they did use one.

If they have used one of those tune up programs, the changes they made may not be able to be reversed. You might be looking at a reinstall, unfortunately.
