Hello,

After following marsmimars tips try the following:

Showing some NTFS corruption. Run the following:

Afterwards to make sure the HDD isn't corrupt:

[*]If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
  • SSD firmware
  • BIOS Version
  • Chipset Drivers
  • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

[*]Run all but the advanced tests with SeaTools for HDDs.

After please post back.

I've Done EVERYTHING you said marsmimar and Honorgamer i don't have a SSD. Its still freezing.

Just for clarification, when you say it's freezing, what exactly is happening? Does it bring up an actual blue (or black) screen? Any error messages? Or does it freeze and lock onto a webpage or perhaps an individual frame of a game/movie? Please accept my apology if this sounds like a strange question. I just want to make sure I understand exactly what you're seeing because it could be the difference between a software issue or a hardware problem.

Also, when these freezes occur how do you get your computer back to normal operation? A hard shutdown with the power button? Killing a process through Task Manager? Something else? Again, just trying to put myself in front of your computer to experience exactly what you're experiencing.

As I usually tell everyone, I'm not an expert at anything. But the fact that "The Computer Freezes as in Its stuck on one frame and the sound is just looping rapidly sometimes there isn't even sound at all" leads me to believe it might be a hardware issue. The graphics card is apparently allowing video to show (even though it's only a single frame) and any audio embedded in that frame is also being heard.

When you replaced your graphics card did you also go to the AMD site and download the latest driver? If not, try to create a restore point and then get the latest driver. If you already have the latest driver you could also try a previous version. (Sometimes the latest and greatest can cause issues.)

AMD Radeon

Have you checked Device Manager for any problems? I'm thinking there might be an issue with RAM properly buffering the video (or not .) Double check that your RAM an graphics card are properly seated.

I have tried 3 different drivers, I have even taken the ram out and dusted it off. ITS FROZEN 5 TIMES IN THE PAST 1 HOUR.

When you replaced the video card, did you perform a clean installation of the new video drivers?

This would have involved (back when the old video card was installed) going into the Control Panel > Programs > and uninstalling all video related software and the driver (you could have used the un-installation tool in CCC also), then deleting the driver installation folder, shutting down the PC, and then switch out the cards.

Did you do it that way?

When playing games, what other software are you running? If you are using FRAPS, it can seriously affect the performance of some cards. Why not try and download MSI Overdrive, you can set a fan profile to help with temps, but also an on screen monitor of temps, FPS, Memory and graphics usage. Also download GPUz, and set a log file which will log almost all readings from the card. You can make a folder and tell the program where to put the log file. What I am trying, is it would be helpful to know exactly is going on within the card at the point it freezes. And BTW, I'm not the higher level that marsmimar was talking about. But those should give us some info to see what is happening.

What were the results of the memtest and HD Diagnostics? How many passes did your run memtest?

Are you now running a Clean Boot?

What is the AV?

What repeat errors did you have in logs? What Solutions were offered when you checked for those?

Normally there is some interaction when you run through over a dozen complicated Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7

I Ran Clean boot previously still kept freezing, My AV is Microsoft Security Essentials, I called an Acer technician 3 times to come fix it and each time he stress tested EVERYTHING, I MEAN EVERYTHING ram, CPU, Graphics Card Re installed windows absolutely everything and said that if there was problem with the hardware it would have frozen or BSOD.

I you've not yet resolved your problem, maybe you would want to try this link.

Microsoft Fix it Solution Center: troubleshooting software issues

I have the same problem as yours before until i ask microsoft support and did ask me to try that link.

Luckily for me it solved the problem as well as other minor irritating issues.

hope this will help you too.

I had a similar problem.

and it turnd out to be one of my RAM chips.

I ran Memtest 2 times, and it showed 0 errors, but i still had problems.
I then tryd to take out 1 of my 2 chips and let the machine run and see if it crash. and it did, I then swapped it with the one i took out, and the machine worked just fine.
So if you have 2 RAM chips try to run the machine with just 1 of them at the time and see if that maybe helps.
