Hi. I have visited this forum many times in the past while trying to solve my pc problems, but now Im making an account because theres a problem I have been trying to get answers for long time.

As the title says, my computer freezes. It doesnt really matter what Im doing, it just freezes. I have sought help from similar threads made here before, but those threads havent helped my situation so Id like to have my case as individual one. About the problem, my computer is custom build, I ordered it from internet 2 years ago. I didnt build it, but I chose the parts for it. At home I installed the OS myself, the guys at the store didnt touch the bios, they simply built it. When I first tried a game on my pc, after a while it crashed. Screen froze and the speakers let out steady loud broken noise, then I was at the desktop again. Ok so this happened sometimes only while playing. After a while it didnt get back to desktop after a crash, the whole computer froze, I couldnt do anything but to shut it down manually. It was like this for the longest time, and I tried to "fix" it by trying to mess with the ram voltages and cpu ratios in AsRock extreme tuner. Didnt help obviously, but I kept doing it for a long time because I noticed if the settings are in certain values the computer lasts longer without crashing. The freezes started to annoy me so I didnt play that much anymore, but then I discovered my pc can freeze even while browsing internet. Thats when I started to look for the fix more seriously.

Things I have tried:
Resetting bios
Re-install OS
Tested RAM with memtest (passed 1 hour without errors)
Tested video card with MSI Kombustor
Checking for viruses
Cleaned pc with regcure pro

Im not even sure if thats all. I have also HWiNFO32 in use now. Its been logging for 9 hours now. My pc crashed a few times yesterday. Ive noticed that certain way to freeze it is to run Speccy. But it does it only sometimes, I checked Speccy few times yesterday without problem but it also froze once while doing it. Temperatures are always normal. I dont know how they look while playing, but Im pretty sure its nothing relevantly important since my pc freezes also while browsing net or random stuff like that. It can also freeze while being idle. My computer has seen BSOD two times as far as I can remember, but crashes are very rare, its only freezes Im having

My sets
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
ASRock P67 Pro3
8,00Gt Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz
1024MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
932GB SAMSUNG HD103SJ ATA Device

Id love to hear suggestions what to try fitting for my situation and what I have tried already. I'm starting to be clueless whats causing the freezes that have been happening more than a year. Id hate to think its hardware problem, because its been happening for so long, very soon after buying the parts.

Thanks for any advises

Hello and thanks. How do I exactly check for issues in device manager? it displays my specs but I don't know how to continue further. I haven't tried browsing in safe mode, I should try that. I forgot to add in my starting post the reason why I have tolerated the freezes for 2 years. It changes how often they happen, there have been times playing has been impossible because of them, but sometimes I completely forgot about the freezes because they dont happen. My computer froze twice again yesterday, once while playing and once while browsing the internet. So its uncertain how long I should be in safe mode to be sure my computer doesnt freeze while in it. But ill give it a try. ill use only safe mode tomorrow and if it doesn't freeze or anything I guess the problem would just be in normal mode.

Ok I had been running my computer still in normal mode because there had been no freezes and I wanted to enjoy it as long as I could. But it happened again as expected and I instantly switched to safe mode. I used it for one whole day and even left it running during night and it didnt freeze. Only difference I noticed was that my pc was quieter than before. So lets assume it works on safe mode and doesnt freeze. What could be the problem with normal mode?

For more information about my issue. I'm now very positive that my pc wont freeze when on safe mode. For some weird reason my pc has froze 3 times today. When I woke up I noticed my pc had frozen so I started it again, but only after 5-10 minutes it froze and it happened so fast that I decided to go safe mode. It didnt freeze during that time, I used it for 1 hour or so. Then I entered normal mode and played for some hours. But when I stopped playing and went back browsing internet, it froze again. I rebooted my pc and I dont think I was on internet longer than 5 minutes when it froze again. It seems serious because it keeps freezing this often now. Im on safe mode again. And changes Ive done to my pc lately have been new video card driver update and I ran Microsoft Fix It program yesterday. I was very happy how long I played yesterday without freezes after the Fix It, not sure was it because of it, but I thought it really did something, but now I can hardly browse internet without this thing freezing. please help

I dont think anyone follows this thread anymore whatsoever. But I have taken log during one of my "freezes" I would like to share. This time however the freezing was a bit out of ordinary. Instead of total freeze it just slowed down. While I was playing I noticed a sudden fps drop and I windowed out only to notice my pc had "froze" again, but this time I could actually do something but with slow progress, took long time open task manager and so on but I managed to move my mouse after I havent done anything, like the fps of the screen had suddenly came back to normal as long as I didnt press anything. I didnt see my cursor but I noticed the highlights it left when hovering over buttons so I was able to shut my pc down. This log was recorded with HWiNFO64 before this happened. I would appreciate if anyone could read it for me
