computer goes to sleep when downloading

New xps 17' running 54 bit win7. In firefox when I'm downloading a large file the computer goes to sleep even though the power settings are set not to. I didn't know if this is a win7 problem or a firefox problem.

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, underSystem, clicking Device Manager.*
2. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3. In the list of hardware categories, go to network card, and then double-click the device name.
4. Click the Power Management tab and then clear the Allow this device to wake the computer check box.
5. Click OK.
