I have a x64 bit OS and everytime I play a flash game or anything that requires a flash player to work, everything freezes! I have to manually reboot the PC.

And another problem. When it's rebooting I see a message "Express gate is not installed" and jumps to the other screen and I can't read it all that fast.

Are the flash games your playing played in browser , if so which browser ?
From doing a quick google the 'Express gate is not installed' isn't an error message as such it just means you haven't installed Asus Express Gate on to the Primary HDD, I'm in way super techie person but it's something to do with the Asus motherboard and optional software you can install to do a faster boot if you just want to do a quick task ( sorry I said I wasn't a techie lol )

If using ie9 or ie10,
Click Start and Control panel/ Internet options/ Advanced section/ Check the top box-Use software rendering instead of gpu rendering/ Apply and Okay.
Test the issue.
The three year old thread you posted referred to Updating your video card drivers/ did you do that at the computer manufactures website ?

Uninstall Flash Player in Control panel, reinstall from Adobe Download site.

Run all rounds of Important and Optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)

Then if any drivers are still missing in Device Manager import them from the Asus Support Downloads webpage for you model PC. We can help you find one if necessary. Driver Install - Device Manager.

If you still receive the Express Gate error then see if additional software for that Asus crapware is available on the same Downloads webpage to satisfy the nag error.

Keep in mind that if this is the original factory preinstalled Win7 it is a grossly inferior install loaded with bloatware and duplicate utilities like this one which have better versions built into Win7. So I would strongly consider doing what most tech enthusiasts do and Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything you need is in the blue link.

Ohhhhhh I just found out that my Windows 7 is an illegal copy. I bought this PC when it had a Windows XP operating system and then I took it to maintenance, and then I guess they probably installed an illegal copy or something. Idk, I have no windows 7 installation disk whatsoever.

If you want to pursue being sold a bootleg copy you can contact the offender and tell them you want a genuine license or you will report them for piracy, which might itself resolve the issue. If not then file a case with MS Customer Service. If you cooperate with their investigation, MS may reward you with a free replacement copy.

Otherwise your choices are to reinstall the XP version on the COA sticker on PC if the Product Key is still readable, or buy an Upgrade version of Win7 since it qualifies from the previous XP license.

I would not buy OEM since Upgrade price is comparable. OEM license dies with the mobo which may not last much longer at that age and then you can migrate the retail Upgrade version to any other PC.

Once you have a new Product Key I would reinstall following the same steps as in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

I often get better performance with 32 bit on 4gb or less RAM. Your hardware uses some RAM - look at Memory tab in Resource Monitor to see how much.

Those optimizing suites do nothing but mess up Win7 further. Even if it fixed a small problem it will cause you bigger problems down the road. We see nothing but problems with them. This is the first time I've ever heard one actually fixed anything. How and what did it fix?

What do you plan to do about the pirate copy of Win7? I gave you things to do about it in Step 7 to which you didn't reply.

I know they're not doing anything. It's one of the few programs that scans your computer for bugs and ACTUALLY fixes them. It downloaded an update for my computer which fixed my blue screen errors. I haven't had problems with Flash since the update. By the way, I checked the Windows Update and it said that there are no important updates. But yeah, you're right. Those programs are just scams.

What about the pirate Win7? Why no reply to the suggestions in Post #5? We can't help you here further until you demonstrate you are taking action. The moderators are strict enough they may even ban you if you don't.

It isn't your fault if someone did this to you but there are remedies you can take by insisting they correct their criminality, or cooperating with MS investigation which may earn you a free copy. Doing nothing leaves the impression you plan to use a bootleg.

Well... partly. They said "Bring it over here once it really needs maintenance. As long as it works, you're fine". I guess I gotta believe them. Nothing is wrong with it now.

What made you think it was illegal? What is the activation status now at Computer>Properties?
